To preserve and protect the column outdoors, it is necessary to paint with one coat of high quality exterior primer followed by two coats of an exterior paint.
2nd floor balconies should NOT be attached directly to the side of any fiberglass column. Please contact us for recommendations.
Water should not be allowed to collect inside fiberglass columns. Flashing may be required to channel water away from the inside of the column. A drainage hole can be drilled in the bottom of the shaft and plinth if necessary.
